What Can I do to Support?

Daily life of Venezuelan refugees in one of the Operação Acolhida shelters in Brazil
Everyone has the right to seek and enjoy asylum. But, for many people in many parts of the world, this right is under threat. Solidarity with all refugees, everywhere, is needed more than ever to defend and uphold this right.

We are UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency. We ask you to stand in solidarity with people forced to flee and take action to give hope, protection and safeguard their rights.

10 ways you can show solidarity with refugees

1. Support Refugee Employment

Refugee entrepreneurs bring new skills, resilience and adaptability. Employment helps refugees to build a new life for themselves and their family, and enables them to contribute to society. Support a local refugee-owned business, employ refugees in your workplace, or offer mentoring to those seeking careers.
